Fishing, horse riding, walking - and whisky
Flie fishing, as here in Cullen Burn , is just one of the many options this area offers to holiday makers.
We have established contact to a riding school in Garmouth, a 30 min. drive from the Bayview Hotel. Viv Graham's property is situated in the middle of the forrest and 2 miles from the coast. Viv does not have a website, nor brochures, and she doesn't do much to attract customers, but - as she says - word of mouth is the best PR. Everything can be arranged, whether you wish to ride 1 hour by yourself or maybe spend the whole day there with outings both morning and afternoon.
There are 9 described walking routes of varying distances in and around Cullen. On a clear day and for those who are used to long walks we recommend a walk to Cullen Bin - approx. 2 hours. You end up 1000 feet above sea level and have a spectacular view of the area and over the sea.
The area offers an abundance of activities. Check for yourself at Moray Ways, where you can read about cycling, canoeing and all kinds of walking and horse riding.
Dufftown - here Glenfiddich Distillery
Whisky enthusiasts are very close to paradise in Dufftown, situated approx. 30 miles from Cullen. There are a large number of distilleries in and around Dufftown, the malt whisky capital of the world. Many of these welcome visitors, but we recommend that guided tours are booked ahead of time.
You can read more about The Malt Whisky Trail on the website and decide which distilleries to visit and when.
Here is a list of words and phrases you may find helpful when you enter into the world of whisky.

48 hrs Events arrange, as the name indicates, activities of a more extreme nature. Everything including river rafting, paint-ball, clay pigeon shooting, canoing in the river Spey or at sea as well as social visits to distilleries, etc.
